A little more about me:

I started my journey in high school (of all places!)  I was always the one my friends would come to, when they needed to talk and work things out.  So when it came time to go to college and choose a major, I knew Psychology was a good fit for me.  I graduated from Slippery Rock University with my Bachelor's Degree in 1997.  I then continued my education at Slippery Rock University and obtained my Master's Degree in 1999.  I have been working in the field ever since, minus a couple of years when I took off to adjust to becoming a new mother, in 2007!  I have worked in the clinical setting, in the community setting and with a variety of clients.  I am a wife, coming up on 15 years of marriage, and a mom to two amazing children.  So I understand  the struggles of balancing all of life's expectations.  I really enjoy working with my clients and helping them see that they are valuable, and they are important and they deserve to be taken care of.  We want to take care of everyone else, which is great, but sometimes you need to step back and take care of yourself.  YOU ARE IMPORTANT!  To be a good wife and mother (or husband and father) you need to take care of yourself.  Counseling is included in that.  I can help you find other ways to take care of yourself and develop coping skills to manage your symptoms.

If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
